Winter Warmth Drive Collection Days

September 30th – October 10th

The Winter Warmth Drive is a collaborative community service project run almost entirely by students around the Des Moines metro. From kindergarteners to high school seniors — students of all ages manage donations, host events and run marketing campaigns for the drive. Students are encouraged to bring new or gently used coats, hats, gloves, scarves, blankets, snow pants and boots. Donations will be given to area nonprofits and local agencies to distribute to those in need.

Sorting Day

October 12th

After donations have been collected, they need to be sorted and boxed for distribution. Volunteering at our sorting day event is a great way to get involved with the drive and help bring warmth to those in need in our community.

We are looking for adults and high school students to help us sort items for our Winter Warmth Drive. You can sign up for 1-3 hour shift or both shifts at Valley Community Center in West Des Moines
